Assisting and educating communities to save feline lives.

Batta Cats is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

TNR is what we do.

TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) saves lives! By humanely trapping, neutering/spaying and returning feral felines back into their colonies, we keep neighborhoods healthy and hundreds of kittens from being euthanized.

Did you know?

A single feline can give birth to three litters of kittens per year. With up to 6 kittens per litter, that is up to 18 kittens in one year! Felines can start having kittens as early as 4 months old. So before the year is up, the first litter is already reproducing too! If each of the 6 kittens has the average 4 kittens per litter, that is 24 more kittens. Now we are up to 42 kittens. So what can we do?

TNR outdoor felines keep populations stable and healthy. Overpopulated colonies (the word for feral felines that live in the same neighborhood) are susceptible to disease, starvation and death. Once a colony is successfully trapped, spay/neutered and returned, a colony caretaker provides regular food and shelter. Friendly adults and young kittens can be removed from the colony and can find loving fosters and permanent homes.
